1. ARRO Executive Board Elections – We are currently accepting nominations for the 2006-2008 term. The deadline for nominations is December 1, 2005.  Please see the attached letter for further details. This year ARRO has instituted two new election requirements that will enhance the diversity and representation of all radiation oncology residents. First, one of the three junior member slots will be reserved for a resident from a program of six or fewer residents. Second, a resident cannot run for election if his or her institution has a resident currently serving on the ARRO Board. This will ensure that every year residents will be represented by an ARRO Board comprised of residents from different institutions. 

2. American Radium Society – the deadline for abstracts has been moved to December 1, 2005.  Please see their Web site for further details:  http://www.americanradiumsociety.org/about.htm

3. The ASTRO Spring Meeting and Refresher Course is scheduled from March 24-26 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami.

4. Breast Oncology Survey – If you have not already done so, please fill out the Breast Oncology Survey and receive a free CD of the top 100 seminal papers in breast cancer.  Please see the attached survey.

5. Radioimmunotherapy Course – Please see the attachment for further details about a radioimmunotherapy course that will be held at the Cleveland Clinic.  This may be a useful course, especially considering the new immunotherapy curriculum requirements from the NRC, ABR, and ACGME.
