ARROgram #15
To All ARRO Members:
ARRO is happy to announce that we have completed the
first phase in a complete redesign of our Web site.
We have included timely and useful information for
residents in radiation oncology. Please visit the new
site at www.arro.org. We have updated information about
ARRO, provided practical resources for residents and
students, and created lists of organizations, meetings,
journals, and texts. Regarding ARRO, we have links
to ARROgrams, our mission statement and bylaws, descriptions
of our active issues, a description of ARRO elections,
and contact information. Resident resources include
written and oral board examination information, fellowship
links, RRC requirements, curriculums for physics and
radiation biology, information about the inservice
examination, a link to the ASTRO Job Placement Center
and answers to frequently asked questions.
Other new pages for residents cover information about
the ARRO Practice Entry Seminar, ARRO survey results,
and information about licensure and book discounts.
Student resources include a list of radiation oncology
programs, an interview guide and FAQs. Future plans
include a list of key papers organized by organ system/site,
as well as oral board case examples. The next phase
of the redesign there will be a resident directory
and discussion boards dealing with radiation oncology
and resident-related topics. We hope that you find
useful resources, information, and useful links on
the new site.
If you have any comments or suggestions about the
new site please contact Vipul
Thakkar (thakkav@ccf.org)
or Eric Hansen (hansen@radonc17.ucsf.edu), or by replying
to this e-mail.
