Active Issues

Radiation Oncology Board Timing - There have been some recent changes to the timing of the board examination for residents. The ARRO Board will continue to work with the American Board of Radiology to express the views of residents as they relate to the board examination. Please see the "Boards" section for further information.

Web site Improvements - The ARRO Board continues to improve the Web site for residents. We hope that with the timely dissemination of information, interactive forums, and useful information, the ARRO Web site will become an invaluable resource for residents.

ASTRO events - We will be planning events for the ASTRO Annual Meeting in Chicago. The ARRO events in Boston were a success and we are looking to make this year's meeting even more interactive. The ARRO reception will be held in conjunction with RRS in 2009.

Thanks - The ARRO Executive Committee would like to thank all residents who participated in the ARRO program at ASTRO this year. We had excellent program attendance and appreciate your feedback. A special "thank you" goes to Linna Li, Steve Smith and Eugene Kim for their efforts in organizing the event!

Communication - Dissemination of important information will continue to occur via regular ARROgrams as well as posting on the Web site.

Organizations - The ARRO Executive Committee is dedicated to exposing residents to societies that are resident friendly and relevant to radiation oncology.
